Robert Edwin Hughlett

Robert “Bob” Edwin Hughlett of Tomball, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on November 26,1948 in Roswell, New Mexico where he grew up with his three brothers and three sisters.

Bob worked as a truck driver for many years at Stevens Transport, and then moved on to Big H Auto Auction as a mechanic. Bob enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and when he wasn’t taking good care of his 5-acre property, he was always willing to lend a hand to help a neighbor.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Irby Hughlett, his mother, Mary Belle, his brothers Troy and Jim, and his daughter Melissa. He is survived by his wife Helen Hughlett, his brother Bill (Bernice) Hughlett, his sisters Jeannie (Buck) Aldrich, Nelda (Luis) Mendoza, and Lynn Hughlett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Jaime Razo, a great friend and neighbor who was and is always there when needed, and Lynn Hughlett for her dedication to her brother. The family would also like to acknowledge Geraldine and all the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Bob in his final days.

A visitation for Bob will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 1:00 PM located at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
