Robert Edward Hukill

Robert Edward Hukill was born on February 15, 1936 in El Paso, Texas to Lucy Belle Nichols and Robert Hukill. He died after a long illness on November 6, 2011 at his home in the Houston Heights with his wife and son at his side. He served as a sonar man on the Rowan during the Korean War and finished his education at the University of Texas after he left the service. He worked in the oil business and in construction management for HISD. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his stepfather (and Dad) Forrest Porch, his half-brother Michael Porch, and his son Stephen Hukill. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne Lewis Hukill, his son John Meredith Lewis Hukill (Jack) and by his brothers Ronald and Darrell Porch and their families. He is also survived by his children from previous marriages, Katrina Hukill, Kristopher Hukill, and S. Robert Northrup. A memorial service will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Arrangements under the direction of Heights Funeral Home, Houston, TX.
