

Robert A. Martinez, 65, born March 28, 1952, was born and raised in Houston, Texas to Antonio and Celia Martinez. He left this earth on July 12, 2017. Robert attended and graduated from Milby High School in 1971. He loved to ride his 250 Honda Super Hawk motorcycle to school and work. Few years later he was sporting around in his 1967 GTO. In his younger years he loved to play baseball. As the years went on he continued to play fast pitch softball with various teams. But the ending of his last years of playing he stayed with the Houston Tornados. He loved the camaraderie he had with his teammates. He was a truck driver for 40 years. Retired at the age of 62 from Central Freight Lines where he drove and dispatched. He loved to listen to Tex-Mex and country music. The dancer that he was he loved to two step and whirl around the dance floor to Mexican music. He enjoyed going out with his in-laws. Robert was an avid outdoors man. He loved to hunt, fish and being in the woods at their place in Centerville, Texas with his family.
He is survived by his wife Maria Martinez of 22 years. His sons Tony, Christopher, Robert Jr. and wife Taylor, Ryan and wife Nicole and step-daughter Selina and husband Leon Garcia and 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. Also brothers Samuel, George (Maria), Luis (Vanessa). He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Celia Martinez and Brother Ralph Martinez. Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Tony, Christopher, Robert, Jr., Ryan and his brothers, George and Luis. Honorary pallbeaer is his brother, Samuel.
