Robert T. Osborne

Robert T. Osborne, 93, of Houston, Texas passed away on February 1, 2015. He was born on October 6, 1921 in Winnipeg, Canada to William and Gerda Osborne. Robert was proud of his service as a Gunnery Sergeant in the US Marine Corps from which he retired after serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the St. Dominic Council 10799 Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 9187 and a life member of 75 years in the BAC International Union. Most importantly Robert loved his family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Nettie Charles Osborne, his sisters June and Gladys and his brother William. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Robert William Osborne, Larry E. Osborne and wife Kathy, Maria T. Behrens and Paula J. Espino and husband Victor. Also left behind are his grandchildren Robert J. Osborne, Michael C. Osborne, David W. Behrens and wife Tyler, Jessica Espino, Casey Martin, Justin Behrens, Brandon Behrens, Jacob Osborne and Sam Osborne, his great grandchildren, Sarah, Shealynn, Olivia Rose, future great granddaughter Mallory Kate, numerous nieces and nephews and countless other friends and family. The family would like to extend special thanks to John Johnston, William Arnold, Kyle Reddick and Taylor Petry for the special relationship that they had with Robert. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Forest Park Lawndale with a rosary service scheduled for 7 PM. A funeral service will take place at Houston National Cemetery in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 1 PM. In lieu of traditional floral tributes the family requests that donations be made to Wreaths across America.
