Robert Roett Ravenell, Jr

Robert R. Ravenell, Jr. (Rudy) was born on August 26, 1948 in Houston, Texas to the late Gladys and Robert R. Ravenell, Sr. He was the first of five children. Rudy professed Christ at the age of thirteen and was baptized by his father.  At his passing, he was a member of the Fountain of Praise under the pastorate of Rev. Remus Wright and Co-Pastor Mia Wright. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. After graduating from high school, Rudy was drafted in the United States Army where he served during in the Vietnam War.  He received an honorable discharge. Upon his return from the Army, he used his GI bill to further his education. He attended Houston Baptist University and the University of Houston where he studied real estate. He received his real estate license in 1979 and later founded Ravenell Real Estate Consulting Company  Rudy loved interacting with family, reading, chess, dominoes, music, politics, sports, westerns, and traveling. God called his servant from labor to reward on Friday, September 28, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory: one brother, Bruce Oliver (Mary); two sisters, Carole and Deborah Oliver; one step-sister, Linda Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
