Ruben Esquivel

Ruben was born to Porfirio and Antonia, February 18th 1942 in Harlingen Tx. He married, Patricia Cordero in 1988 and they lived together in Houston Tx. Together they raised 3 children.

He leaves to cherish his memory Ashley Esquivel, Amber Esquivel, Ruben Esquivel, Michelle Esquivel, Javi Esquivel, Heather Esquivel, Monica Esquivel, Gidget Esquivel (Daughters & Sons); Patricia Cordero; Sylvia Esquivel; Olga Preciado Esquivel, Miguel Esquivel & Jaime Esquivel (Siblings); Kimberly, Emily, Natalie, Briana, Victoria, Samantha, Brittany, Veronica, Patty, Haydee, Elizabeth & Nidia (Nieces); Jacob, Carlos, Marc, Eddie, Adrian, Jesse and Adrian James Esquivel (Nephews).

He was preceded in death by Porfirio Esquivel (Dad); Antonia Sanchez (Mom); Ruben Jr (Son);

Manuel Esquivel (Brother).

Ruben worked as a roofer for JA Sherman for 40 years. He enjoyed watching the news and spending time with his dog named Lobo.

A visitation for Ruben will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will follow at 11:00 AM. Lupe Treviño will officiate the ceremony.
