Ruth Robinson Hines

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she will be remembered for her independent spirit, wonderful holiday meals, and as quoted by one of her grandson’s “her wickedly beautiful smile and intriguing personality” which will be missed and often remembered.

Mama Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Earle Hines; daughter, Linda Goad and a grandson, JJ El Hassan. She is survived by seven of her eight children: daughter, Sharon Martin and her three children, Paul, Jim and Michelle; daughter, Grace Jennings and her two children, Elaine and Mary; son, Wayne Saulter, his wife Karen and their two children, Robert and Cherie; a granddaughter, Annie Ruth Bryant; daughter, Christine El Hassan and her children, Jeannie, Sabri, Sabrina, and David; daughter, Connie Hines and her children, Becky, Kelsey, Darian and Dillon; son, Ron Hines and his two sons, Rusty and Robert Earle, and daughter, Theresa Ford and her children, Tamia, Tasha and Craig.

Family and friends gathered for a visitatation on Monday, the 9th of April, at eleven o’clock in the morning at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services, celebrating this wonderful woman’s life, were conducted in the chapel by her son, Chaplain Wayne Saulter, at twelve o’clock noon. Interment followed at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road in Humble, Texas.
