Shannon Smith, 48, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022 in Richmond, TX. She was born December 29, 1973, in Houston, TX to parents, Roland and Carol Smith. She lived 41 of her 48 years at Richmond State School, where she thrived and was always full of smiles for her many caregivers. The Smith family is extremely grateful to the entire staff there for their heartfelt and loving care of Shannon.
Shannon is preceded in death by her father, Roland Wayne Smith; and grandparents, Bill and Claire Haring, and Leland and Jettann Smith. She is survived by her mother, Carol Haring Smith; brother, Roland Wayne Smith II; and sister, Allison McMaster Williams.
A graveside celebration of Shannon will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:30 at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd, where she will be buried next to her Dad.
