

Lynn was born in Odessa, Texas on July 4, 1944 to parents Leo and Virginia Williams Clark. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Daniel Joseph "Dan" Avant. Lynn is survived by daughter Sharon Renee Avant; son James Travis Avant; sister Dona Moman; brother George Clark and wife Mary Jean; granddogs Ziggie, Tatum, Zoe, Alex and Gabby; grandchildren Zach Avant, Allison Avant and Chris Aguilar; and a multitude of friends.
As a recently divorced mother of three, Lynn moved to Huntsville in 1975 to begin working for the City of Huntsville and became their Purchasing Agent. Later she became the Health Administrator for Sam Houston State University. Lynn received a Bachelor Of Arts and Sciences degree from Lamar University while serving as Cluster Health Coordinator for UTMB Correctional Managed Care.
Lynn never met a stranger and loved ministering to others, helping them in any way she could and sharing Jesus with them. She participated in the MS 150 bike ride from Houston to Austin for 9 years, loved any type of outdoor adventure, and cherished the involvement with her area 42 group. Lynn's passion was working with children and her last three employment positions allowed her to teach the children she loved.
For more than ten years, Lynn was an active member at Woodland Church, serving as an usher and facilitator of their Grief Share program.
A Memorial Celebration of Lynn's life will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Church Lynn last attended-Lone Star Cowboy Church, 21627 Eva Street, Montgomery, Texas 77356.
