

On March 13, 1938, Shirley Ann Wiltz-Mouton was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana, to Martin and Anna Wiltz, Sr. She was the second of ten children. Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Martin de Tores Catholic Church. She received her primary education at Notre Dame Catholic School , and then went on to Holy Rosary High School in Lafayette, LA, to complete her education. Later she attended La Belle Beauty School. She later met and married Horace Mouton of New Iberia, LA. In this union three children were born. After completion of beauty school, she began and operated her own beauty shop in St. Martinville, LA. She worked as a beautician in St. Martinville until 1967. She then moved to Houston, where she lived and resided until her death. In Houston, Shirley continued her career as a beautician in the tunnels of downtown Houston located under the Texas Commerce Bank building. She then moved to Schlumberger, where she was employed as an assembly line worker. Later she began a great career in Tupperware, attaining national recognition for her sales and recruitment success. She subsequently retired from Tupperware and began a second career as a law librarian at the law offices of Jackson Walker and John Polk. Shirley was a faithful member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church for over forty years, during which time she served as a member of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary. She serviced the Church as a CCE/RCIA Teacher, Money Counter, Bazaar Committee Chairman, kitchen staff, Lector, Bible Study Coordinator, Eucharistic Minister, Bereavement Coordinator, and the "go to" person of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace Mouton, her parents Martin and Anna Wiltz, and one brother Marshall Wiltz. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her new life; her three children, Horace Mouton (Vernita) of Spring, Texas; Perita Mouton Goree of Houston, TX; and Kevin Mouton (Dessie) of Manor, TX. Seven grandchildren Davida, Jerald (Terrica), Terrica, Ken'Tia and Precious Mouton, and Nerissa and Brandon Lee. Ten great grandchildren, Dacoreyion, Jorri, Leonardo, T'layjah, Jayden, Taylor, Jordyn, Sha'Breeon, Aryiah and Kayden. Eight Siblings, Martin Wiltz, Sr. (Fannie), Mary Jane Thomas (Jerome), Jackie Narcisse (Paul) all from St. Martinville, LA; Anna Mae Mouton (Hillman, Sr.) from New Iberia, LA, Gabriel Wiltz, Sr . (Barbara), Anthony Wiltz (Susie), Earline Lewis (Bradley), and Patrick Wiltz (Blanche) all from Houston, TX. Four Sister In Laws, Dorothy Mae Williams (Francis), Esther Bell, Ethel Frelow, Lula Mouton. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Shirley is sincerely loved and will be eternally missed by her family and friends!!!!
