

"To Everything there is a season..." On February 11, 1975, Jerry Lewis and Judy Green welcomed the birth of their beautiful baby girl. She was named Shontina Marquise Patrice Green. "Study to show thyself approved unto God..." Shontina attended North Shore High School, but later graduated from Barbara Jordan High School. "Be Fruitful and Multiply..." On August 1, 1996, a beautiful baby boy was born to Shontina and John Carter. His name is Shannon D'Vante Green. "What God has joined together..." On October 16, 2004, Shontina married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Williams. "Work while it is day..." Shontina began her career in the Funeral Service Industry at Paradise Cemetery in 1992 while still attending Barbara Jordan High School. While working there, she displayed the unique ability to successfully serve multiple funeral services on a daily basis. Her exceptional people skills allowed her to manage all aspects of cemetery operations. Because of this, she was well known and well loved by many in the funeral service industry of Houston and Harris County. She was a loyal and faithful employee until her health prevented her from performing. "Peace I leave with you..." On Wednesday, June 20, 2012, she was called from labor to reward. Those that went before her and await her arrival on the other side are her dad, Jerry Lewis and her grandmother, Mary Green and grandfather, Victor Green. Those left to cherish her precious memory are her faithful and devoted husband, Kenneth; her loving son Shannon; her devoted mother and friend, Judy; loving step-father, Hooper; and baby brother Donte. She also leaves a wonderful mother-in-law, Alice Williams; Mona Lee; four sisters-in-law; four brothers-inlaw; one god-sister; two god-children; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a strong church family.
