Stephanie Marie Kubeczka

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stephanie Marie Kubeczka, 89, of Houston, Texas, who passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1934, in Brenham, Texas, to Wanda and Frank Wisniewski.

On June 18, 1960, she married the love of her life, Harry James Kubeczka, in Brenham, Texas, beginning a partnership built on love, faith, and devotion. Stephanie was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family above all else.

Her love and service extended to her community, where she volunteered at Christ the King Catholic Church and School. She found joy in many activities, including cooking for her family, dancing at the Bill Mraz Ballroom, and attending countless Polish weddings. She took great pride in her yard, tending to the beautiful pink azaleas in the front yard. Stephanie was also known for her kindness, often babysitting for various families, house and pet-sitting for her neighbors, and caring for family dogs over the years.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Harry J. Kubeczka of Houston, TX; daughter Carol Roe and husband Terry Roe of Houston, TX; son Harry Kubeczka Jr. and wife Cecilia Kubeczka of Houston, TX; sisters Dorothy Cegielski, Mary Shaw, and Rose Beuke of Houston, TX; brother Frank Wisniewski of Houston, TX; and her cherished grandchildren James LaRue, Stephanie Roe, David Roe, Colby Cunningham and wife Stephanie, Ann Marie Cunningham and husband Oscar Cayon, Whitney McLaurin and husband Jonathan, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law Albin Cegielski, William Shaw, and Walter Beuke.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for masses in honor of Stephanie.
