

Steve Gordon Jr. was born on July 22, 1967, in Hempstead, TX to the late Tommie Jean Johnson and Steve Gordon Sr. He graduated from B. F. Terry High School in 1985. For the last 16 years, Steve was employed at GFL Environmental Services. He was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Simonton, TX.
Steve met and married the love of his life, Qiana Nance, in October 1993. To this union, two children were born - Steve III and Sanae.
Steve leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of thirty-one years, Qiana Gordon; seven children, Brodrick Gordon, Brittany Gordon, Steve Gordon III, Deseantye Everson, Demontae Everson, Sikerra Gordon and Sanae Gordon; four grandchildren, Bra’Niyya, Bra’Nae, Brodrick Jr. and Brooklyn; his siblings, Tommy Blackmon Sr. (Julie Ann), Robert Blackmon (Nancy), Loretta Parker (Calvin), Doris Marie Rogers, and Sylvester Blackmon; along with a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Jean Johnson and Steve Gordon Sr.; his grandparents, Tommy and Bertha Johnson; and siblings, Spars Blackmon, Jr. and James Johnson.
He will be remembered for his love of barbecuing, taking pride in making his yard look nice, and fixing up his car with nice rims and tires. A true Jordan shoe fanatic and proud Tennessee Titans fan, “Titan Up!” was his motto and his way of life.
