Ms. Sydney "Red" Danielle Drake

Sydney stayed true to her beliefs and was stubborn to a fault. She was mild-mannered but short tempered. Her smile was infectious and priceless. Sydney was very benevolent. She would volunteer in helping the elderly and disabled in the community where she lived. When he rdad was ill, she helped her mom take care of him. Sydney was always willing to lend a helping hand and hardly ever complained. She had many nicknames and answered to all of them Tweety Bird, Red, Flying Squirrel, Syd the Kid, Sydiolla and Dannie.

Sydney was not the greatest cook. She often called her mom to ask for step by step instructions when she wanted to make a great home-cooked meal, but could make a great steak like Gordon Ramsey.

Sydney was born in Houston, Texas to Tammy James and Ozzie L.Drake.Sydney finished high school from Spring High School and attended Prairie View A&M University. Sydney was a jack of all trades. Any job she applied for; she would get whether she had all the necessary credentials. I think they would hire her for her personality and not necessary skill set.

Sydney is proceeded in death by her great-granddad, Sydney Norris;great-grandmother, Ruby Norris; her grandmothers, Shirley J. Norris and Carol J. James; her dads, Ozzie LeRoy Drake and Darron Lance James; great-aunt, Willie Ruth Walker; uncle, Lawrence Arthur Norris in Houston.

Sydney leaves to cherish her memories; her mom, Tammy James;sisters, Brittany Rawls (Branden Rawls), Alexandria James and Alexia James; brother, Frank James; nieces, Chloe Drake and Bianca Rawls;

nephew, Braden Rawls; grandmother, Barbara Willis (GA); grandfather,Lawrence Norris (LA); aunts, Odessa Edwards (TX), Darlene Drake(GA), Retta Lotson (GA), Cheryl James (NY), Tameka Anderson (SC),Darlene James (NY) and Debra Walrond (NY); uncles, Alexander Drake(GA), James Drake Jr. (GA), James Edwards Sr. (TX), LaRon Drake Sr.(GA); cousins who were like sisters all from Houston, TX, LaJoy Jenkins,Shannon Norris, Nicole McPherson, Krystal Fears and Jasmine Norris;and a host of other cousins.
