A woman of worth and wisdom, Tamaria Duck has touched the lives of families and individuals from Texas to Georgia and beyond. Her amazing example of generosity and servant-hood has allowed her life to be one that will never be forgotten. Tamaria Wilson Duck was born on October 4, 1969, to (the late) Mr. Ruben Long and Mary Wilson Long in Houston, Tx. She was the first sibling of two born to this union. She attended Kashmere Senior High School and graduated with honors in 1988. Tamaria continued her academic pursuits at Prairie View A&M University. While there she enjoyed the "every" Friday visits from her father. In November, 1993 she met the love of her life, Mr. Tyrone Duck. The day she met Tyrone, she spoke the words "He is going to be my Husband". A few months later, Tamaria's words manifested truth. Tyrone asked Mr. Long for Tamaria's hand in marriage. The beautiful couple was married on July 2, 1994. In 1999, Mr. & Mrs. Duck decided to leave Houston, TX and began a new journey in the beautiful state of Georgia. It took a little time for Tamaria to get use to not being at home, but as time progress she accepted Georgia as her new home. Tamaria had a tremendous love and want to help children. She served her time in Georgia working for the school district. She was well- known by kids, co-workers and friends as the one and only "Mrs. Duck". Tamaria also maintained a prayer life and personal relationship with God. The Heavenly Father loved her so much, he decided to call her home without hesitation so that she would not suffer or experience any pain. Tamaria is preceded in death by her father Ruben Long and Grandmother Annie Bell Wilson. She is survived by her wonderful husband Tyrone Duck, loving mother Mary Lois Long, brother Anthony Wilson (Angie Wilson). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children, in-laws and numerous friends.
