Ted graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School, class of 2014. He worked as an IT technician and assistant manager at Brewingz. Ted loved music, attending concerts and raves. He also enjoyed sleeping and practicing self-care.
Ted is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Virginia E. Peña and Vivian T. Rodriguez, and his grandfather, Alfred Luna.
He is survived by his father, Ted Luna; his mother, Dawn Rodriguez; his sisters, Jade Luna and Tati Luna; and his shared fur baby, “Snow.”
Some of Ted’s happiest moments were spent at the beach by the water, relaxing in the sun, riding jet skis, tubing, and boating. This love for the water and fun in the sun was something the family shared since he was a child, and it continued until their last visit in June. Ted played every sport growing up, with his father coaching by his side. He chose swimming as an elective during junior high and went on to swim for Dobie High School for four years. His passion for swimming led his sisters to follow in his footsteps, as they also chose to swim for Dobie.
Ted was the first to hold his baby sisters at birth and was always by their side as they grew up. He enjoyed spending family time playing music with them, lying on the couch while they watched movies and their favorite show The Kardashians. He loved to travel and experience new adventures with his friends. He was a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race and his favorite artist was Nicki Minaj. Ted's favorite catchphrase was “Period.”
Ted was always the rock of the family, ensuring his sisters were safe and well. He had a huge heart and a pure soul, often putting himself last to make sure everyone else was happy. Ted gave himself wholeheartedly, and when he loved, he loved deeply. He was the type of friend you would want, never shying away from helping others.
