Mr. Than Van Tran was born in Northern Vietnam. He passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Tran was the third eldest son of a family of Mr. Hoe Dinh Tran and Mrs. Dao Thi Tran. He was retired Senior Machinist at Sandvik Group, husband, and devoted father of three girls. He was a member of Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral Church and active with the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Tran served in the South Vietnamese Navy during the Vietnam War and fled with his family to the United States during the fall of Saigon in 1975. He was an American immigrant that touched the lives of everyone around him and inspired others by his hard work ethic and his devotion to his family. He enjoyed serving the Catholic Church, tending to his gardens, and raising his family. Survivors include his wife, Hong Thi Cao and daughters, Thoai-Yen Tran , Jane Tran-Brown and husband, Michael Brown, Diana Le and husband, Cuong Le, and two grandchildren.
