Judge Richard Fred Pratt, born April 15, 1922 to Frederick and Florence Pratt in Windom, Minnesota, passed away August 23, 2010 in Missouri City, Texas. Judge Pratt was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Rice, and is survived by sons, Richard L. Pratt and Fred E. Pratt and wife, Connie; grandsons, Daniel Pratt and wife, Chrissy, and Michael Rice; granddaughter, Lindsay Womack and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Micah, and Malachi Pratt, and Sarah, Storm, and Katherine Womack; siblings, David, Eva, and Virginia, and numerous other family and friends.
After serving his country proudly in the Army during World War II, Judge Pratt graduated from the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law. He opened his law practice in 1953, and for the last fifteen years of his career served as a state judge.
A memorial service celebrating Judge Pratt’s life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home.
