Theresa R. Soto

A woman of God, Theresa was known for her prayerful spirit, kindness, forgiveness, and generosity. Her life was a testament to her values, as she nurtured and supported not only her family but also anyone around her who needed care or comfort.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Russell Gonzalez Soto, and their children and spouses: Rudy and Irma Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Nick and Cindy Rodriguez, and Russell and Sabrina Soto, including 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Her legacy of love and faith lives on through her family, who continue to honor her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Benedicta Lara Rivera, her brother, Arturo Rivera, and her sister, Beatrice Saenz.

Theresa found joy in simple pleasures; she cherished the time spent gardening, reading, and crocheting, hobbies that reflected her peaceful and thoughtful nature. Theresa's life was a reflection of her beliefs, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will occur from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598 at 10:30 AM.
