Hi Tom!
     It's been many years since you have passed and yet I still think of you often, and it's occured to me that I have never made an entry here to tell you about it.
     You are missed so much, Tommy.  Mom has carried on, but since you left us she has never really been the same.  I really wish I had more time with you, for you to crack me up and tell me obnoxious jokes!  And sadly you were never able to me my darling girl Evie.  She is my greatest victory and ya'll would have been great buddies!  You also weren't able to meet Nick's wife.  She is absolutely lovely and fits into the family beautifully.  And of course just recently the arrival of sweet Charlotte has brought so much joy to Nick, Natalie and all the rest of us too.
     You were very special to me, and every now and again I catch myself singing "Tools" and thinking about how you used to play it on the guitar when I was little.  It always makes me smile :)  I hope you were proud of me for my military service.  It would have been fun to share it with you--and I hope you saw what I took off of my uniform and put on your casket at the burial, something between just the two of us.
     Keep a spot warm for me, uncle. I will see you again some day.  In the meantime say hello to everyone.  I love you and miss you more than you know.

I saw your boys last night. The timing was sad--at Lee's memorial service-- but it was good to see the fine men they've become. Nick was eloquent and profound in his elegy for Lee; Vince in telling me of his job and how his boss knew Tut.  I am determined to see more of them, to remind them of how loved they are by you and by extended family! 

Proud of you and for you for the men they  have  become. Love & miss you. 

Happy Anniversary Tom! I know you would be with Trish today if you possibly could. I am so sad for you and Trish. It's so cruel that you had such a short time with your sweet Wife. It was a beautiful day.  It was a happy day.  It was a wonderful day.  It was a day that I will always remember.  How I wish you were here with me today so we could talk about the wedding day we shared with so many family members and friends.  Maybe you have shared the memories with your mom and dad and with my parents.  At night, I still look at that special star that I have decided must be you, and I talk to you.  I will be doing that tonight, and I know that you will be listening.  I love you very much.

I miss you so much.  I still talk to you everyday, and I still struggle to understand why it was your time to go. I may not understand until we are together again. I have been thinking of all the things we did on your birthdays that we had together. It makes me miss you all the more.  Your doggies are doing fine. Again another day has gone by where everything I saw, and everyone I spoke to reminded me of you in one way or another. So of course I return to this site as I frequently do and attempt to hold back tears, usually unsuccessfully, as I read through all of the posts from merely a minuscule amount of people who's lives you touched in one way or another. The loved ones who have posted on this site are only the tip of the iceberg in regard to the massive net of love, laughter, and entertainment you cast over countless people. And I love you so much for that. I'll never forget the story about the homeless man on the bus you befriended and cheered up by striking a half hour conversation with. A man who likely hadn't been shown that kind of attention in years. It is that story that sums up who you were and why you were here. Besides being a father, husband and son, you were also a man who could find the best in anyone and anything. And through that, touched more people's lives than anyone will ever know. I hope you're resting well, and I miss you and love you. I hope you have already made Robin Williams laugh.

Hi Baby,

Thanksgiving time is here again.  My family is gathering in San Angelo this year, so I am going.  I will be leaving very early in the morning with Anna, Brian, Matthew and Jonathan.  Nick is coming to San Angelo to be with us, and it will be very nice to see him again.  It's going to be hard because the last Thanksgiving I spent in San Angelo, you were with me.  This year I will try to remember all the things I am thankful for.  I am thankful for all the years we had together and all the things we did together.  I will forever be thankful for that last weekend we had together.  We had fun hanging out with each other doing the things together we liked to do.  I am so thankful we had that one last fun time together.  I still miss you so much and wonder how I will fill my remaining time here on earth without you.  I pray every day for you and God to look after me and to help me be strong.  I know that you are doing that because I do get through each day.  I love you as much today as I ever did.  And I am so thankful that I experienced your love.

Happy Anniversary Baby,

Remember what fun we had that day so many years ago.  Our family and friends came to celebrate with us.  Even your mom was able to come.  It was her last big trip but she had so much fun and so much joy in seeing us married.  This year I will be alone with my memories of the years we spent together.  I will think of all the things we did together.  I will think of all the places we traveled together. I will think of all the fun we had together.  I will think of all the love we shared together.  And sadly, I will think of all the plans we had for the future.

I know that you and God are still looking after me, and I pray that you both continue to do so.  I cannot tell you what a comfort it is to me to know that I only have to say a prayer, and you are right there with me.  I love you.

I am just learning of Tommy's passing. My condolences to the Schifani family and to all he loved. Tommy was my first friend. I was 5 or 6 when we met and Tommy about 7. We were neighbors in Glenbrook Valley in southeast Houston. Tommy was full of adventure and imagination even then. The bayou that ran through our neighborhood was our adventure land. In our minds (Tommy, myself and third Musketeer, Charlie Provenzano)it was a raging river to anywhere and everywhere. We would make Christmas Tree forts to rule our kingdom. I also remember that the first thing I did on Christmas morning, after Santa came, was to call Tommy and tell him what I got. What cool toys we would have to  play with in the coming days. Summer was riding bikes, setting up "ramps" that could of have broken our legs and walking to the Utotem convenience store for candy and comic books. Tommy and I lost touch after he moved but I always remembered those days and Tommy. We had just recently found each other again and reconnected because of Facebook. We emailed each other, shared stories and hoped to meet someday for a drink. I'm saddened that it can't happen. He will rest in my heart and mind as a really special set of memories. Here's to you Tommy! God bless.

Today is your birthday.  It will be another of so many hard days without you, but I will spend my day with memories of you and pray that the memories will be sweet rather than filled with pain.  My feelings of loss remain immeasurable and my grief inconsolable.  I miss you so much.  I wonder what you are doing…camping, fishing, hunting or just catching up with those that you loved and missed for so many years.  Your doggies are doing well.  Minnie remains the watch dog with her ferocious bark.  Lucy is still the “babiest” girl you loved so much. And Zoe Fern has become my constant companion who licks the tears from my face when I cry for you.  I yearn for the day that we will be together again. But for now, I have to stay here to take care of our doggies.  I know that you and God are looking after me, and I pray that you both continue to do so for without your help I'm not sure I could go on.  I love you.

Tonight I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. I miss you, and I only wish I would have realized how lucky I was to be your son sooner. Mom tells me quite often how incredibly similar I am to you, and I take it as a compliment. Growing up I always closely observed the way you were able to speak to anyone and immediately make them feel like they were your friend and could trust you with anything, and I thought it was the most amazing talent. I wish so badly I would have spent more time with you in the last few years, I'm sorry that I didn't. I promise you I will do no more damage to our family's name, and me and Nick will ensure its continuity. I don't even know if this was the right place to post something like this, but I don't care. I love you, rest well, and I will see you on the other side. -Drone

I am so sad to have heard this news. I worked with Tom at Sandia Labs. We shared a love for our dogs, especially our Jack Russell Terrier's. We always enjoyed talking about our pets. My deepest condolences to you all.

I still remember Tommy as an adorable little boy who, when I spent the night with you, wanted to be with us so we all slept in his room!  I have so many wonderful memories of being with you, Tommy, Nick and my Sweet Polly that I will always cherish.

So continue to be that great loving and caring young  man that your Mom and Dad raised and your Dad's legacy will live on and on.
