Travis Wayne Cannon, a cherished resident of Willis, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on June 26, 1964, Travis was known for his hard-working, humorous, honest, and devoted nature, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Travis graduated from Waltrip High School and attended the University of Houston, laying the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and achievement. He spent over 40 years at Domino's, where he was an award-winning manager and trainer, exemplifying his commitment to his work.
Family was central to Travis's life. He is survived by his mother Lynette "Mom" Cannon, father Henry "Pop" Cannon, step-mother Tammy Cannon, brother Alan Cannon, sister Victoria Fleeger and spouse Ross Fleeger, step-sister Dana Lindley, sons Shawn Cannon and spouse Sarah, Shelby Cannon and spouse Amy, Travis "Dude" Cannon and spouse Morghan, and Tyler Cannon and spouse Jackie. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Zadin, Maverick, Vera, Jackson, Christine, Kaila, Ainsley, Emmilou, Tyler, and William, as well as his niece Ashley McWilliams. Travis's beloved dogs, Lola, Bob, and Maggie, also remain as part of his family.
Travis had a passion for cars, especially Mustangs and anything Ford, famously dismissing "that GM bull****." He found joy in restoring old antiques and building things, and his love for music, particularly the band Rush, was well-known, having attended every one of their concerts in Houston over four decades. Travis also enjoyed watching his grandkids' baseball games and napping during Texans games.
As a devoted father, Travis taught his children the value of hard work and the importance of fixing things themselves. His philosophy, "If you are going to do something, do it right," continues to inspire those he leaves behind.
The family extends their gratitude to everyone who reached out and offered their condolences. In keeping with Travis's wishes, they hope to celebrate his life by playing music and sharing the many crazy stories that reflect his unique spirit.
