Valerie G. Peltier

Valerie Gwendolyn Hester Peltier born February 14, 1949 in Houston, TX and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Angleton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother Eulene Porter Hester, brother- in- law Robert H. Vahldiek, step daughter Gena Peltier Johnson and her husband Joel Johnson.

Valerie is survived by her husband Louis Peltier, her sons Lance Aldrich, Scott Aldrich (Dana). Step children, Katherine Holt, Will Peltier (Kelly), Jim Peltier, Bryan Peltierb (Cynthia) and their families. Father Raymond A Hester, sister Barbara Vahldiek, nieces Sharnell Vahldiek, Shantel Vahldiek and nephews Stephen, Trent and Matthew Vahldiek, special cousin Freddie Gale and Dan Fuller and Danya and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Valerie graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967 where she was 1st Lieutenant of the Drum Corp. She graduated from Sam Houston State University. Valerie had a wonderful sense of humor, always making her family and friends laugh. She was always such a joy to be around. Her love for animals was only exceeded by her love for her family and friends. She was “Mom” to so many of her son’s friends and “Aunt Val” to many others. There was always a song in her heart and usually one on her lips. She left this earth too soon, but we are comforted to know that she has taken her place next to those she loved dearly that have already gone on to Glory. A special thanks to her nursing staff at Country Village Care for the many years of loving support.
