Velma Louis Parker was born on January 26, 1923 in Glenmora, Louisiana and passed away on August 15, 2025 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years , J. T. Parker Sr.

Velma has been a member of Clay Road Baptist Church for 66 years and enjoyed serving in various ways.

She is survived by children: Anita Parker and John Parker, his wife Diana and grandchild Kenny Parker and his wife Tresh, great grandchildren, Matthew Parker, Lauren Parker, Abigail Parker-Harper and her husband Matthew Harper and other loving family and friends.

Memorial contributions in her honor in lieu of flowers may be directed to Clay Road Baptist Church. We hope you will say a prayer for her as she is united with her LORD.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Clay Road Baptist Church at 9151 Clay Road, Houston, Texas 77080 on Wednesday August 20 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Dr. Bruce Northam officiating.

Burial service will be held in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079 Wednesday August 20 at 12:00 p.m.
