Vestarine Ella Thompson, 93 of Houston, Texas a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. She was born October 10, 1925 in Walhalla, Texas to Herbert and Lydia (Lange) Albers. She enjoyed gardening, all kinds of flowers, playing dominoes and bingo with all of her friends. She was a housewife who took pride and care in her home and her flower gardens. There are many friends and family who have some cuttings from her flowers. She had a green thumb and could grow anything.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Buford Thompson; her grandson, Jacob Dale Thompson and her parents, Herbert and Lydia Albers; her sister, Valora Engelbrecht and husband, Leonard and her brother, Welton and sisters-in-law, Patricia and Sue.
Vestarine is survived by her sons, Jerry Thompson and wife, Barbara of Industry, TX; Larry Thompson of Houston, TX and David Thompson and wife, Laura of Normangee, TX; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild along with a host of friends and other family members.
She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly.
