

Victor Joseph Trevino, Jr May 22, 1961-December 17, 2015 (Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Music Minister/Praise Leader, and Photographer) went to his heavenly home on Thursday, December, 17, 2015 after a brief illness.
Victor was born to Victor and Marie Ornelas Trevino in San Antonio, Texas
Victor's love of music started early as a child growing up with two younger sisters and a brother, mom played the piano and music was always in the house and not to mention the frequent sing a longs while diving in the car, He said “I think God really wanted us to learn how to sing since the radio didn't work very well”
As a teenager in the mid 70's he began singing and playing guitar. Mr. Trevino directed the guitar mass and music for youth gatherings at St James Catholic Church at his hometown parish in San Antonio, Texas
Moving to Houston the summer of 1979 Mr. Trevino worked as a youth minister and sang in the local church choir. He soon began to work with Prayer Groups for Youth and Adults, Youth Ministry Retreat Teams, Youth Conferences, Life teen, other church programs.
Mr. Trevino worked at many Church Musical venues throughout the Galveston/Houston Dioceses over the past 36 years. Mr. Trevino was a strong dynamic Praise and Worship Leader riding on the next wind of the Charismatic Renewal. He was the Praise and Worship leader for the past 17 years at the Catholic Charismatic Center until March of 2015. He was focused on the every changing needs of the community; he helped to transform the traditional church music and jumped it into the new vast changing world of Praise and Worship, allowing us to get right at the heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
Victor also enjoyed working with Street Ministries, Nursing Homes, and Jail Ministry and most recently with the Open Door Mission.
Victor is well known for his love of music, however, he was also well known by the Plastic industry as JR Trevino a salesman and fabricator. Victor started out his plastics career at a very young age alongside his father. In 1979 when he moved to Houston it was to work with Plastic Center of Houston whose sister company was Plastic Supply located in San Antonio, Texas.
Mr. Trevino had several hobbies which include Photography and working on his cars.
A strong dynamic praise and worship Leader riding on the next wind of the Charismatic Renewal.
Some of you know that Victor and Yvette met during their sophomore year in Biology class while attending Burbank High School in San Antonio. However they did not start dating until her senior year. They broke up about a year after he moved to Houston and but there were finally reunited almost 16 years later, they had another long distance relationship and finally married on May 3, 1997.
Victor leaves behind his loving wife Yvette, daughter Amanda Lewis (Mark) and son Miguel Sanchez, grandson Amelio Trevino, granddaughter Azalea Lewis. His mother Marie O Trevino, sisters Elizabeth Kugler (Douglas), and Celeste Neaves (Joe). Nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Victor, brother Mark, Grandparents Manuel and Mercedes Ornelas, Celestino and Benigna Trevino
Victor will be deeply missed by all of us but we have joy in knowing that he is now praising and Worshiping the Lord in HIS presence. Most of us will think of his daily as we sing along to songs played on KSBJ. Victor's favorite phase will live in our hearts forever. God is Good, All the time.
And All the Time, GOD IS GOOD.
