A devout Christian and lifelong Southern Baptist, Virginia travelled the world and was a cherished friend to all who knew her. An expert in needlepoint and knitting, Virginia joyously and meticulously created so many cherished projects for friends and family. She and her husband of 45 years regularly spent summer at their beloved cabin in Colorado. To all who knew her she will be greatly missed.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Cecil James, her brother James “Buddy” Miller and his wife Dottie Miller. Left to cherish her memory: daughter, Stephanie Preece, her husband Robert Preece, granddaughters Cheri Thompson and Lauren Preece; son Richard James, wife Nancy James and granddaughters Veronica Howitt, Nicole Clark and Jennifer Leigh.
Visitation will begin at 11am, followed by funeral service at 1pm, on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Houston Texas. Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
