

Walter, was born to Father, John Silas, and Mother, Ollie, December 12th, 1938, in Rose Hill, MS. He attended high school in the Houston area and later married Wilma Harper in 1971. Together they raised two daughters.
Walter is survived by his daughters Jennifer Harper- Giotis and Cheryl Armand; Son-in-law, Chris Giotis and Tim Armand; grandchildren, Ash Armand, Tim Armand Jr., and great grandchildren Paige and Keegan Armand. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his older brother, John "Billy" Harper, and his wife, 5 nieces and nephew.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Harper, parents and two sisters Nettie and Hazel.
In high school, Walter worked at Richies Grocery in the produce section and then joined the Navy. After returning from his service, he gravitated back to the produce business and later went in to open his own business "Pasadena Farmers Market" with his wife Wilma and other business partners. He later started a new company prior to his retirement in the early 2000's.
Walter enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Woodworking, Golf and many other outdoor activities.
A visitation service will be held on July 22, 2023, at 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held July 22, 2023, at 1:00PM to 2:00PMat Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
A Committal service will be held at 2:00PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
