Warren George Conner was the 3rd born child to Janvier and Catherine Adams Conner in Keithsville, LA. He grew up at a young age in Houston, Texas and developed an acute sense of style and poise. Always quiet, Warren was never in a hurry...because he always had to study or research a project, before he began one. While in college, he took his time, and studied again, choosing the love of his life, Barbara Bonaby. Warren and Barbara married in 1964, a great 54 years of happiness. From this marriage came two wonderful sons, Warren Bernard Conner and Reginald Ray Conner (deceased). Warren’s public education includes the following schools: Crawford Elementary, E.O. Smith, and Wheatley. Working his way through college, Warren learned Horticulture and Gardening. He graduated from Texas Southern University with a Graphic Arts Bachelors Degree. Using his college education and desire to excel, Warren worked and retired from National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA), Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, after being employed there for about 30 years. Being retired, Warren applied his multiple skills and talents, taking care of his family. He was a caregiver, engineer; an all around everything man for his parents, Catherine Adams Conner Harrison and Howard Harrison (Step-father) until their departure. Being steadfast, he was also the chauffer, cook, gardener, handyman, and escort. Warren would always show you, or tell you, how things worked. He was excellent at cultivating the minds and talents of anyone he knew or met. Some of his favorite phrases included: “Well…let me see”; “Hmnn…really?”; “That Kat…!”; and “Let me get back with you.” And when he returned, he would have studied the How To, Warranty, Pros and Cons. His favorite discussions included sports, the weather, and the legislature. Warren was also a member of Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend L.V. Adams. Thursday, January 18, 2018, God called Warren George Conner home. He is survived by his longtime wife Barbara, his son Warren (Mirna), his grandchildren Reginald Jr., Toren, Rhea; great grandchild Joseph; sister Lucy Winston of Los Angeles, California; uncles Elbert (Betty) Hines of Los Angeles, California; and Herbert Hines of Houston, Texas; nieces Sheila (George) Woods of Moreno Valley, California, and Bernitha West of Los Angeles, California. Warren also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
