William "Bill" D. Coverston, age 80, died at his home in Houston, TX on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Bill graduated Aldine High School, class of 1953. He attended Texas A&M and was a member of the Aggie Corps of Cadets. He enjoyed a successful career as an oil and chemical piping designer. Bill is survived by his loving step-mother, Willie Fay Coverston of Georgetown, TX; sister, Cherry Camille Peters of Georgetown; daughter, Karen Lynne Gilbert, and husband James of Plano, TX; son, Delean Gregory Coverston, and wife Debra of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Christina Lee Page, and husband, Daniel, Tabaitha Rae Kaye, and husband, Adam, and Kris Popish all of Katy, TX; Taylor Leigh McKamy, and husband, Tyler of Dallas, TX, and James "Chase" Gilbert of Plano, TX. He is preceeded in death by one grandson, Kyle Jameson Gilbert. Bill also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Jared Andrew Page, Connor Allen Page, Mason David Gregory Kaye, Taylor Reese Kaye, and Peyton Nichole Kaye; nieces, Kelly Lynn Baugher, and husband, Sam of Buda, TX; Lee Ann Harrison of Houston. A graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Earthman-Resthaven, Houston.
