William A. Odom, Sr., age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Born in Havana, Florida, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to camp and fish, and he retired from the Houston Police Fleet Maintenance Department after over 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Veneta Margaret Odom, and other family members. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Veneta Odom; son, William A. Odom, Jr. and wife Nicole; daughter, Victoria Glover and husband David; grandchildren, Thomas Blackned, Katherine Odom, William A. Odom III, Alma Odom, Sherell Woodworth and husband Jeff, and Lauren Junjulas; great grandchildren, Colton Woodworth and Cinnia Odom; and cousin, Peggy Haire and husband Tommy. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
