Zonita Jane Huff

Zonita Jane Huff is survived by son John and former wife Rhonda and their children Jarod, Jordan and Jordan's partner Eli, and daughter Carolyn Sarvis and her children Brian and wife Nikki, their children Kamryn and Conor, Kevin and his children Lillian and Mason, and brother-in-law Vern Richardson and his children and grandchildren. Nita was predeceased by husband O. O., son James, sister Diane Richardson and father and mother Coleman and Velma Mullins.

Born in 1924, Nita grew up in Brownwood, Texas, attending and graduating Early High School. She married O. O. Huff in 1941 and devoted her life to raising their children Jim, John and Carolyn. John and Carolyn would survive to provide Nita with the fullest possible measure of devotion and care, in her later years. Upon retiring from Houston Belt & Terminal Railway, becoming “Nana,” as she was lovingly known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, became one of her greatest joys. Nita also had a special place in her heart for cats Callie, Mickey Mouse, Abby and Gracie.

The family acknowledges and appreciates Patricia Guerrero, for the loving care she provided to mom.

We rejoice in the knowledge that our mom loved the Lord, knowing she is in His presence, continuing her life in her forever home.
