Allene grew up in the hills of Tennessee. She married Mack Pressnell on September 29, 1945 after World War II and moved to Alabama shortly after. She worked at Redstone Arsenal for 30 years with what she called a "happy job". She discharged and retired Army Serviceman. She loved meeting each individual and wishing them well. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and Christian. She spent much of her retired years visiting and helping others. A determined lady who never saw anything that she was afraid to try. Allene was an artist, seamstress, and an avid gardener.
Allene is survived by her son Larry J Pressnell (Marcia); daughter Elaine Wright; sister Laura Sue (Elmo)Young; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Allene was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M Pressnell; her son-in-law Stephen L Wright; her father James T Anderson and her mother Zora Anderson; her sister Katherine Anderson and her brother James R Anderson; her grandson Paul M Wright.
A visitation for Allene will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
