

Arthur Henry Kindler (Art), 87, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away peacefully in his home on January 9, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Unionville, Michigan on August 29, 1938, to Henry Kindler and Mable Vanwagner Kindler. After graduating from High School, Arthur moved to Chicago, Illinois where he began his career as a Screw Machine Operator with Automatic Electric. In 1967, he was promoted and subsequently transferred to Huntsville, Alabama where he ultimately retired as Plant Superintendent with SCI Technology, after a long and distinguished career. Arthur enjoyed watching baseball, attending baseball games, farming, gardening, traveling and most of all spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many pets.
In addition to his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his sister, Frances Bang, of Flint, Michigan, brothers William Kindler of Sebewaing, Michigan and Donald Kindler, of Unionville, Michigan, mother of his children Karol Barnikow Rowland, of Elkmont, Alabama, daughter-in-law Michelle Kindler, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, and his beloved wife Gloria. Surviving is his sons Raymond Kindler of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, James Kindler (Okhui) of Warner Robins, Georgia, daughters Kathryn Kindler (Sam) of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, and Crista Corely Johnson, of West Hollywood, California, grandchildren Justin (Sarah), Adam (Macie), Felicia (Israel), Jeremy, and Christopher (Courtney), Alex, Josh, Kelsey, Erika, 12 great grandchildren, three nephews, two nieces, and a loving extended family.
Viewing will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, in Huntsville, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on January 12th, 2026, followed by a chapel service.
Arthur will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
