

Aylene Stone Valentin peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 in Huntsville, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband Jorge Valentin-Esteves, and parents E.O. Stone, Littie B. Stone, sister Ernestine Robert and brothers Harold Stone and Eugene Stone.
Aylene was born on Feb. 4, 1926 in Rayville, Louisiana to Ernest Omega Stone and Little Beach Stone. She graduated from a business college in Louisiana and shortly thereafter was hired to work as a secretary for military personnel at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. during World War II. It was there that she met and married Jorge Valentin-Esteves, a pilot in the Army Air Corps in 1944. After moving to San Juan, Puerto Rico, she worked for various institutions before moving back to the United States where she worked as a secretary, office administrator and apartment manager.
Her greatest accomplishment was her love and care for her family.
Aylene is survived by her three children, Jorge Valentin (Gladys) of Duluth, GA, Paul Valentin (Lourdes) of North Little Rock, AR, Carmen Valentin Amato (Morris) of Huntsville, AL; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two nephews (Ernest and L.S. Robert); and niece (Ann Schissler).

Visitation - Sunday, August 7th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Saint Joseph Church, 2300 Beasley Avenue, Huntsville, AL
Visitation - Monday, August 8th - 9:00 -10:00 am at Saint Joseph Church
Funeral Mass - Monday, August 8th at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph Church
