Ethleen Elizabeth Collins

October 25, 1937 -- March 28, 2018

Ethleen Elizabeth Collins, 80, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her father, William Ricketts Sr.; and her son, Chris Collins.

Left to cherish her precious memory is her loving husband of close to 60 years, Dr. Rufus D. Collins, Jr.; her two sons, William Collins (Lawanda) and Jonathan Collins; her two daughters, Dorothy Guidice and Rebecca Park (Gun); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy Ricketts-Barbour; her brother, William Ricketts Jr. (Maryjane), and other relatives and friends.

Ethleen loved life, family, and all things beautiful. She was known as the “Boss” of the Collins clan but was a God-fearing Christian woman who practiced her faith every day. She loved her grandkids and spending time with them. Ethleen Collins was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her!

You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Saturday, March 31 from 1:00pm -2:00pm. There will be a funeral service conducted by Rev. Joel McGraw in Valhalla’s chapel commencing at 2:00pm. The interment in Valhalla Memory Gardens Everlasting Life section will immediately follow.
