FRANK DOUGLAS HICKEY May 4, 1958 – August 30, 2016 Doug Hickey, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hickey was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Hickey. Left to cherish his precious memory is his mother, Doris Shoemaker Hickey; sister, Linda Handback of Toney; brother, Charles M. Hickey of Cullman; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Doug was a machinist by trade and worked mostly on government projects. He enjoyed Alabama Football – Roll Tide! He liked restoring automobiles and working on them, he also loved to be the “Trivia Master” and brought that up in conversation frequently. Doug’s heart was full of love and compassion for his family. He loved entertaining his nieces and nephews. Doug Hickey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
