Helen Jane Lyle

Helen Jane Broad Lyle, age 86, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Mrs. Lyle was born in Madison County, AL on June 7, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Vernon "Bud" Lyle; parents, Mervin Broad and Novia Ashley Broad; brother, Merrill Broad Sr.; twin sister June Lewellwyn Broad; and niece Daphne Broad Moore.

She is survived by her nephew Merrill Broad Jr and wife Shannon, her niece Greta Ethridge and husband James as well as great nephews and nieces Colton Moore, Elijah and Ethan Broad, and James G. and Katherine Ethridge. Jane is also survived by a multitude of other beloved family and friends. She was loved and well regarded by all that knew her.

Mrs. Lyle was a lifetime resident of Madison County, AL, growing up in Big Cove, AL. She attended Madison County High School. She held a long career in banking before her retirement. She enjoyed music and loved God, church and family. She lived a life of integrity and resilience, always happy, cheerful and giving despite her long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 11am until noon at Valhalla Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow services at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Valor.
