

Jackie Lynn Pruitt, born on August 6, 1939, in Jasper, Alabama, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 86. A resident of Huntsville, Alabama, Jackie will be remembered for his dedication to family, career, and community.
In 1969, Jackie relocated his family to Huntsville while working for Barber-Colman Co., where he dedicated 37 years of service. Later, he moved to Florence, Alabama, and contributed 14 years to the University of North Alabama. Known for his love of fishing, camping with family, and restoring corvettes to their original condition, Jackie was an active member of the Corvette Club and proudly has a corvette in the Corvette Hall of Fame.
Jackie was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Pruitt-Laird, father, Grover Pruitt, brothers, Jimmy Pruitt and Carl Pruitt, and sister, Cleta Anschultz.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gloria Pruitt, daughters Kim Lewis and Denise Hoyle, grandchildren Shannon Lewis (Cam), Ross Hoyle, and Audrey Mahy (Jordan), and great-grandchildren Ronan Lewis, Hugh Mahy, and Iris Mahy. He is also survived by his brothers Junior Pruitt, Leon Pruitt, Gary Pruitt, and sisters Brenda Hellums and Cornelia Walker.
A visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama, on December 28, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
Jackie Lynn Pruitt's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
