JUDY C. MITCHELL Judy C. Mitchell of Meridianville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Reba Knowles Cornell and her sister Ruth. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, G. D. (Mitch) Mitchell; 2 sons, Mike (Pat) Mitchell and Guy Mitchell; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and dear special friends David and Pat Prince. “JJ”, as most people called her, had a lengthy career of 41 years as an Insurance broker in the Huntsville area. Judy Mitchell was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! There will be a brief gathering at Valhalla Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, May 18, 2015. The entombment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Garden’s Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Humane Society.
