Karen Reasor Tidmore

Karen Reasor Tidmore, 73, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 25, 1950, in Nashville, TN, Karen led a caring and compassionate life of purpose.

On June 14th, 1969, Karen married the love of her life, Buddy Tidmore. Together they had two children, Brandon and Lindsey, and just recently celebrated 54 years together.

Karen graduated from the University of Alabama in 1973 with a degree in Microbiology, which led her to work at Huntsville Hospital until her children were born.

Karen devoted her life to her family, constantly giving her unconditional love. She delivered hope by supporting their dreams and goals. Her favorite way of showing love to family and friends was through cooking. She was always in the kitchen perfecting recipes, creating meals and memories that will last a lifetime.

As a passionate animal lover, Karen considered her pets to be members of the family. Over the years, she participated in fostering and transporting for local animal rescues. For fun, she also enjoyed traveling, reading, or just relaxing on the porch of her home watching all nature has to give.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her loving husband, Buddy Tidmore; daughter, Lindsey Tidmore; granddaughters, Avery Cumbie and Kaidyn Tidmore; niece, Dara Griffin (Brett); and daughter-in-law, Meadows Tidmore. Karen is preceded by son, Brandon Tidmore, brother, Daryl Reasor, and parents, Arland and Jewel Reasor.

Visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, Friday, July 14th from 12-2PM with a memorial service to follow.
