Loretta Beatrice Hicks

Loretta Hicks, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Hicks; her mother, Lela Leona Murry; her father, Guy Murry and her beloved sister, Catherine Benner.

She is survived by her four children, Lee Adams and wife Paula, Linda Lee, Susan Howard and husband Bobby, Guy Adams and wife Sheree. She was

blessed with nine grandchildren, Stacia Jones and husband John, Melanie Barksdale and husband Kevin, Ashley Adams, Tiffany Jeffries and husband Mike,

Linsi Lima and husband Pedro, Lawren Adams, Ethan Adams, Ross Adams, and Wesley Adams; also six great-grandchildren, Zac Jones, Maggie Jones,

Lexi Barksdale, Reese Barksdale, Jaxon Jeffries and Maya Lima; brother-in-law, Olie Benner; one niece, Brenda Struk; two nephews, Bruce Benner and

Brent Benner.

Services for Mrs. Hicks will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation preceding the service at 1:00 p.m.;

with Tommy Bolan officiating.

The family would like to thank Trinity Elder Care in Huntsville as well as Good Samaritan Hospice for the gentle and loving care given Loretta in her final

days. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Elder Care or Good Samaritan hospice would be appreciated.
