Lynetta Jacoby Bailey, age 64, passed away on December 18, 2025. Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, Lynetta spent nearly all of her life in Huntsville, Alabama, where she built a life centered on love, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Linda Jacoby.
Lynetta is survived by her beloved daughter, LeighAnn Bailey; her cherished granddaughter, Bella Mahoney, who was the absolute light of her life; her siblings Cindy Mize, David Jacoby, Chip Jacoby, Amanda Jacoby Shook, and Michelle Bailey; her best friend and sister by heart, Janet Krebs Townsend. She also leaves behind countless friends and extended family members who were blessed to know and love her.
Lynetta graduated from Johnson High School in 1980. She devoted 45 years of her career as Office Manager for Bio’Chem Analyst and later served as Office Manager for MT Towing during her final ten years of employment. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and dependability.
Above all else, Lynetta will be remembered as the most loving, generous, and nonjudgmental person many have ever known. She loved with open arms, offered understanding without conditions, and never judged anyone for their mistakes. She gave endlessly through compassion, emotional support, and unwavering love. She was the best mother, the most devoted Nana, and the kind of best friend everyone hopes to have — steady, loyal, and always present.
When Lynetta wasn’t working or spending time with family and friends, she could be found keeping up with or watching Alabama football. Every Saturday during football season, she proudly dressed head to toe in Alabama gear, cheering on her team win or lose. She loved SEC football, but none more than the University of Alabama. Her family takes comfort in knowing she’s now in Heaven, cheering loudly, yelling “Roll Tide” and “Rammer Jammer,” dressed head to toe in Crimson Red.
Visitation will be held on December 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services immediately following from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
Lynetta’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
