Mrs. Marlene Fischer Brown

MARLENE FISCHER BROWN November 3, 1944 – November 26, 2015 Marlene F. Brown, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by her loving husband, son and daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Alma Fischer. Left to cherish her precious memory is her husband of 20 years, Richard S. Brown; her daughter, Cindy Rakestraw (Greg) of Cleveland, TN; her son, Todd Quire (Melisa) of Gadsden, AL; 2 step-sons, Michael Brown (Anna) and Wil Brown (Taryn) both of Madison, AL; 1 sister, Ava Hoyland (Don) of Greely, CO; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Marlene was born in Rapid City, SD, but spent most of her adult life in Huntsville, AL. She was, very literally, dedicated to her faith, her loving family, and to all of her many friends. The search for new sights, new adventure, and of course new friends was a constant undertaking. Marlene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 10:00AM until 12Noon. There will be a funeral in Valhalla’s chapel officiated by Tim Tyson, representing the Baha’i community, commencing at 12:00 Noon. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
