

In loving memory of Martina Coulter Overstreet, 69, who passed away peacefully at her home in Gurley on January 7, 2023, surrounded by family. Marty was the devoted wife of Dwight Overstreet and loving mother of Angela and Brian. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marty was born on March 22, 1953 to Billy and Edna Mae Coulter in Pekin, Illinois and the family moved to Huntsville, Alabama when Marty was a child. She met her husband Dwight and they were married in 1969. Marty and Dwight owned and operated Quality Body Shop for 38 years and planned to travel and relax during their retirement.
Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most important parts of Marty’s life and she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially with the four young people who knew her as Nana.
Marty was predeceased by her parents, Billy and Edna Mae Coulter, her sisters, Cindy and Linda and her nephew, Wayne. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dwight, her daughter Angela Paulus and husband Brian, her son Brian Overstreet and wife Tara, and her four grandchildren, Peyton Olivia Paulus, Reagan Elise Paulus, Brooks Bernard Overstreet and Emery Claire Overstreet. She is also survived by her sisters Wanda Coulter-Bowman, Brenda Pinkerton and husband Billy, Kathy Roe and husband Ricky, brother Ricky Coulter, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Marty will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
