So sorry to learn of the passing of this great lady. Like hundreds of my fellow HDS grads, Rita and Bobby always made the time spent away from home at training feel like we were still with family. 

To Bobby, family and friends of Rita;  You are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days ahead.  Were I not currently in Afghanistan I would have attended the services.

I am so sorry for the loss of this amazing lady. Rita will be missed by all that knew her. Bobby and all the family are in my prayers.

Rita was a very sweet lady that will be missed! I worked with Rita at Parisians'years ago but when I would see her at Belk's she always remembered me & we would talk as if we had seen each the day before. My prayer's are with her family.

Rita will be missed by many. She was one of the first people I met when I went to work in the Accessories department at Parisian at Madison Square. That was many, many years ago. Every time I saw Rita after I had left Parisian it was always as if I had just seen her the day before. I have many great memories of her as do her many Parisian friends. 
I pray for God's comfort to Bobby, her family and many friends.

Rita will be remembered fondly by all those who encountered her, especially Bobby's HDS students.  I was class B-6-94, and Bobby and she met us all at Hoppers our first night after school.  Bobby as the no nonsense (but with a heart of gold) senior instructor; and Rita as our unofficial class Mom.  We never felt "on our own" with these two-Rita was was always encouraging, funny, and we knew where to turn should trouble find us.  I made many visits back down to Redstone over the years, and every time looked forward to seeing Bobby and Rita.  I was last down in May of this year for my final Re-cert. Although Bobby was fighting his illness, he struggled through and he and Rita met with his former students; who were now really old friends.  Bobby, I am sincerely sorry about Rita; I will always hold onto special memories of her, and will keep you in my prayers for recovery, and comfort in the loss of someone who cannot be replaced.

We will always remember Rita's effervescent personality and infectious smile. She will be missed by many, including us. Bobby and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Get well Bobby.

Brenda and Steve Anderson were Rita and Bobby's best man and maid of honor at there wedding 16 years ago. We have spent every New Years Eve party with Bobby and Rita for the last 25 years, we will truly miss her laugh and special ways. Praying for Bobby's recovery--Truly our best friends!

I have known Rita and Bobby for many years.  They are both very special people.  Rita was a bright ray of sunshine everytime I saw her.  I saw her on Tuesday and talked to her for quite sometime. It is hard to believe you will not be around to talk to and enjoy each other. We have had a lot of fun together on our trips. Life will not be the same with out you being around. Bobby is in our prayers.

EOD has suffered a lot of losses of late, and the loss of Rita ranks high on that list. Rita and Bobby toghter was an EOD institution. Not just that But most of all I had the pleasure of calling her a personal friend. She was always  there and will always be there in our hearts.

We are so sorry to hear what happened this week. We will miss Rita's smile and her warmth when she saw us in a crowd. Bobby, we are keeping you in our thoughts.

We are both so deeply saddened by Rita's passing. She was such a beautiful person that would light up any room with her genuine personality. I have never met two people who were more perfect for each other than Bobby and Miss Rita. For a person of such tiny stature, her personality was undeniably grand. I will miss her welcoming spirit on those one or two occasions that I would see her each year. She had a way of making me feel like we were together more often than not. My love to both of you.

Someone as special as Rita will never be forgotten. She will remain in our hearts forever. We will cherish the memories we have of her always.
