Vernon Lasater

Vernon Lasater, 86 of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Lasater was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Lasater; his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Bevill Lasater; one grandson, Matt Tunstill.

Mr. Lasater was retired from Meadow Gold Dairy after 37 years. He loved gardening, farming and was an avid Alabama Football fan.

Vernon is survived by three daughters, Nelda (Robert) Sharp of Hazel Green, AL, Sherry (Dennis) Tunstill of Flintville, TN, Sharon (David) Cook of Hazel Green, AL; one son, Ralph (Sandra) Lasater of New Market, AL; five grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Payne, LeAnne Sharp, Karen (Michael) Neely, Johnny (Sabrina) Rice, Nick Lasater; 8 great grandchildren, Mallory, Evan Math, Kirsty, Colin, Niki, Brandon, Sydney and Harper; one brother, Earl (Ovie) Lasater; and one sister, Evelyn Forbus of Woodville, AL.

You may visit with the family on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 4 to 7pm at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2:00pm with Bro. Robert Sharp, Bro.
