Buel Waymon Layton of Meridianville, AL passed away on February 2, 2021 at the age of 88 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Wanda Layton, daughter Kimberly Maddox and her husband Ken, and two grandchildren, Kandace and Matt Maddox. He is also survived by his brother Bill Layton (and wife Melba), sister Gail Tucker, three nieces, one nephew, and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Layton retired from PPG Industries after 30 years as a welder. He was an avid Alabama football fan and loved his loyal dog Charlie, who comforted him until the very end. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is dearly loved by everyone who knew him, especially his adoring family.
