William Edward Diehl, age 79, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 in Huntsville, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at the chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The Diehl family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday.

Mr. Diehl was born on June 8, 1939 in Jonesborough, Tennessee to William Polk Diehl and Nora Blankenship Diehl. He was the owner of Diehl Automotive from 1966 – 2000. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Diehl loved the outdoors and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Diehl is preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Combs.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife of 60 years, Betty G. Diehl; son, Rickie H. Diehl (Patricia); daughter Lora Diehl Rambo (Karl); grandsons, Shawn Diehl, Bennett Rambo (Natalie), Ryan Diehl (Nichole) and Julian Rambo; granddaughter, Megan Logan (Daniel); great granddaughter, Lively Rambo; great grandson, Brooks Rambo; and sister Nancy Smith.
