Wilma Jean Brown, 83, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020, at home, with her family by her side. Wilma is survived by her husband, Richard, of 56 years and her 3 children: Rhonda Debus, of Huntsville, AL, Lisa Rivera, of Winchester, CA, and Linda Golden, of Garner, NC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Wilma devoted her life to her family and her girls could do no wrong in her eyes. She enjoyed traveling, eating out, and a glass of wine. She liked to keep things simple and didn’t believe in wasting anything. Wilma was always prepared with Kleenex and would say, “it’s wrinkled but it’s clean”. She enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless, Wheel of Fortune, and 90 Day Finance. When Wilma joked with the nurses and told them they were fired, she would immediately apologize in case she hurt their feelings. She was a caring and loving person to all who crossed her path. Christmas was Wilma’s favorite holiday. Her home showcased a beautifully decorated tree with an array of gifts underneath, stockings filled with care, and enough food to feed an Army.
The viewing will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Good Shepard Catholic Church, 13550 Chaney Thompson Rd. SE, Huntsville, AL. Mass will be immediately following the viewing. Mrs. Brown will be Laid to Rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd. NE, Huntsville, AL.
