Deborah "Debby" L. Feinberg

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 12, 1944, to Yale and Ida Clayton, Debby spent her early years in Boston, where she met her childhood sweetheart, Harvey Feinberg. They married in 1963 and recently celebrated 62 wonderful years of marriage—a testament to their enduring love and partnership.

Debby trained and worked as a dental assistant, but her true passion was cooking. She found immense joy in sharing her culinary talents—teaching cooking classes, catering events, and running the kitchen at Park Regency, where she lovingly prepared meals for local seniors. Her happiest moments were spent entertaining, with family and friends gathered around a table filled with her delicious food.

A woman of many talents, Debby was a creative spirit with a zest for life. Her hobbies included traveling, floral arranging, ceramics, jewelry making, baking, and raising AKC Pekingese. Her passion for cooking lives on through her children and grandchildren, who fondly credit her for inspiring their own culinary journeys.

Debby was known for her strength, kindness, and generosity. She was always ready to help others and exemplified perseverance throughout her life. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in every one of them.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Harvey Feinberg; her son, Joseph (Barbie) Feinberg; her daughter, Beth "Buffy" (Orion) Bell; her grandchildren, Erika (McKinley) Naylor, Samuel Feinberg, Sarah Feinberg, Yale Bowman, Noah Bowman, and Simon Bowman; and her great-grandchildren, Linden Bowman, Yael Bowman, Magnolia Bowman, and Oscar Naylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or Wheeler Mission, causes close to Debby’s heart.

A visitation and memorial service is for Friday, October 17th at 3:00 PM at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel, 740 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Debby will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
